After he begins his investigation, Blomkvist finds out he's being followed, photographed and his pc hacked by punk rocker (filled with dual nose rings) Lisbeth Salander, played out by Swedish/Spanish actress Noomi Raspeth, in just about the most memorable female performances in the past 25 years. Lisbeth can be an expert hacker, who has a troubled past and who may have even set her own father burning, to stop his sexual advances.

During the course of the movie, she gets beaten up by a gang of punks, contains a lesbian scene with her lover and is forced to perform oral sex on her behalf evil probation guardian. "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" is such a fabulous movie, that on a one to five star basis, I give it the full five stars. This movie is indeed outstanding, I can't help nevertheless think I'll be disappointed by way of the soon-to-be-made American version.
